hintr works because everyone plays fair and keeps it friendly. This policy applies to everything you post or do on hintr.
Photos
Take them live in the app. Only photos of yourself or of things that are yours (your food, desk, view, pet, outfit…).
No photos of other people without their consent — and never of anyone who doesn’t know they’re being photographed.
No nudity or sexual content, of anyone.
No photos showing private information (addresses, documents, school or work IDs, screens with other people’s messages).
Don’t put anyone’s personal details (full names, phone numbers, addresses, school year or class) in a group name — public group names can be seen in search.
Not allowed
Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeting someone — including leaving people out on purpose or voting as a group against someone.
Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children or anyone under 18, or that shows under-18s inappropriately.
Hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or similar.
Violence, self-harm, dangerous stunts, weapons or drugs.
Anything illegal, including content that infringes someone else’s rights.
Spam, scams, impersonation, fake or multiple accounts, or trying to game the votes.
Trying to break, overload or get around the security of hintr, or to access data that isn’t yours.
Reporting
Use “Report” on an entry or a person (reasons + an optional note), or block them. Reports go to our moderators. If something is urgent or illegal, email toby@hintr.net as well. If someone is in danger, contact the emergency services (999 in the UK).
What we do
We may hide entries, remove people from groups, and suspend or close accounts. We may report illegal content to the authorities.
